32nd international six-day trip

The 32nd International Six Days Enduro was a motorcycle off-road racing competition , of from 15 to 20 September 1957 in the Czechoslovak Spindleruv Mlyn (German Spindleruv Mlyn ) and in the Giant Mountains took place. The national team of the Federal Republic of Germany won the World Trophy for the second time. The silver vase went to Czechoslovakia for the sixth time.

246 drivers from 16 FIM motorsport associations started. Teams from four nations competed for the World Trophy. In addition, 17 silver vase and 23 club teams were at the start.

The Federal Republic of Germany took part in the World Trophy. Austria and Switzerland started with one, the Federal Republic of Germany with two silver vase teams. In addition, five German and one Swiss club team took part.

1 day

After the first day of driving, the teams of the Federal Republic of Germany and Czechoslovakia were tied in the World Trophy without penalty points. Italy and the Soviet Union followed.

In the silver vase ranking, the A-team from Czechoslovakia led ahead of the B-team from the Federal Republic of Germany and the B-team from Czechoslovakia. With Josef Grass and Hans Sonderegger, the Swiss team already had two driver failures, the team was in 19th place. The Austrian team was hit even harder: With Helmut Inzko , Wilhelm Zeller and Otto Heisinger , three of the four drivers dropped out, the team was in 23rd and last place.

81 drivers dropped out of the competition.

2 day

The World Trophy led the only team in the Federal Republic of Germany still free of penalty points ahead of Czechoslovakia and Italy.

In the silver vase ranking, the A team led the B team from Czechoslovakia and the A team from Romania. In the A team of the Federal Republic of Germany Albert Seitz fell out , in the B team Gert Lohse . The teams were in 5th and 4th place. In the Swiss team, Fred Bracher was the third driver to retire and the team took 21st place. The team from Austria was still in last place.

Eleven drivers dropped out of the competition, one of which did not compete.

3rd day

In the World Trophy, the team of the Federal Republic of Germany without penalty points continued to lead ahead of Czechoslovakia and Italy.

The silver vase ranking was continued by the A team ahead of the B team from Czechoslovakia and the A team from Romania. The A team of the Federal Republic of Germany took 4th place. In the B team of the Federal Republic of Germany, Emil Wirnitzer, the second driver, was eliminated, the team took 6th place. The Swiss and Austrian teams took 21st and 23rd place respectively.

Seven drivers dropped out of the competition.

4th day

At the end of the fourth day of driving, the Federal Republic of Germany continued to lead in the World Trophy without any penalty points, ahead of Czechoslovakia and Italy.

In the silver vase standings, the A team continued to lead ahead of the B team from Czechoslovakia and the A team from Romania. In the A team of the Federal Republic of Germany, the second driver, Johann Abt, was canceled, the team took 6th place. The B-team of the Federal Republic of Germany took 8th place. The Swiss and Austrian teams remained in 21st and 23rd place respectively.

21 drivers dropped out of the competition.

5th day

The intermediate results after the fifth day of driving: In the World Trophy, the penalty-free team from the Federal Republic of Germany led ahead of Czechoslovakia and Italy.

In the silver vase standings, the A team continued to lead ahead of the B team from Czechoslovakia and the A team from Romania. The A-team of the Federal Republic of Germany took 6th place. In the B team of the Federal Republic of Germany, Heinz Kammler was the third driver to drop out, the team was in 10th place. The Swiss and Austrian teams took 19th and 21st place respectively.

31 drivers dropped out of the competition.

6th day

On the last day there was a stage and the final race (speed test).

Of the 246 riders who started on the first day, 95 reached the finish.
