Delle Haensch

Gerhard "Delle" Haensch (born May 10, 1926 in Munich ; † March 1, 2016 there ) was a German jazz and entertainment musician ( alto and tenor saxophone ) who also emerged as an arranger and film composer . He also worked under the pen names Manuel Landy and Tim Safir.

Live and act

Delle Haensch studied clarinet and alto saxophone; After 1945, Fred Bunge , Hugo Strasser and Werner Scharfenberger played in his gamelang combo . In 1947/1948 he worked as an arranger for Freddie Brocksieper and for Joe Wick (Opus in Brown) , in whose big band he also played. He then wrote for Kurt Edelhagen (Carioca) and for Heinz Schachtner , Max Greger (Maxi-Jump) and Erwin Lehn (The Train) . In 1955 he performed at the German Jazz Festival with his Jump Combo , which included Strasser, Claus Ogerman , Harry Schell and Karl Sanner . After 1956 he was a saxophonist in the Munich film orchestra and recorded light music for Brunswick , Heliodor and Philips ( at Rock and Roll , 1957) with his own groups ; he also worked for radio and television. From 1960 he worked as a music producer. He also wrote new music for classic silent films . He recorded with his own ensemble as well as with Greger, Strasser, Fred Spannuth and the German All Stars .
