Fred Bunge
Fred Bunge (born November 15, 1923 in Leipzig , † May 1960 at Buchloe ) was a German trumpeter and arranger of modern jazz .
Live and act
Bunge learned the piano, violin and trumpet and played in various ensembles after 1945 before moving to West Germany. In 1948 he worked in Joe Wick's band . In 1950 he became a member of the Kurt Edelhagen orchestra , where he also arranged and helped create a European variant of progressive jazz . In 1953 he performed with the German All Stars at the German Jazz Festival (album). He also founded his own band with which he appeared at numerous jazz festivals and in which Willi Sanner and Egon Christmann also played; he also went on tour with Bill Coleman . After a concert in Zurich, he had an accident while driving to an event in Hof as a passenger in the car.
