Karl Sanner
Karl Sanner (born May 10, 1928 in Cologne , † July 4, 1966 in Monte Carlo ) was a German jazz drummer .
Live and act
Sanner first worked with Joe Wick's band from 1946 , later in the combo of Hans Koller (1950 to 1953), then with Joki Freund . In 1955 he worked with Jutta Hipp , then with Albert Mangelsdorff and Attila Zoller . In 1957 he accompanied Bob Cooper and Bud Shank on their tour of Germany. From 1958 he was a member of the WDR dance orchestra . Sanner also appeared at jazz festivals and went on international tours (e.g. with Hipp to Yugoslavia). He also played on European tours with Dizzy Gillespie and Tony Scott . He can be heard on albums by Hans Koller, Jutta Hipp, Rolf Kühn and Delle Haensch .
The saxophonist Willi Sanner is his older brother.
