Marcus Kehr (born March 8, 1983 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a German enduro athlete and multiple German enduro champion.

Career

Marcus Kehr began his motorsport career in motocross . In 1997 he reached fifth place in the Saxon Motocross Championship. In the following two years he then succeeded in winning this championship. In addition, he is completing an apprenticeship as a motor vehicle fitter.

In 2001 he switched to enduro sport and became the German Enduro Cup winner in the class up to 125 cm³ - two-stroke on Husqvarna . In the following year, Marcus Kehr received an A license and was fifth in the German Enduro Championship. He also achieved fourth place with the junior team in the Six Days silver vase competition in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic . In 2003 he won the German championship title in the class up to 125 cc two-stroke, third place in the European championship and again fourth place with the junior team at the Six Days in Fortaleza ( Brazil ). During the season he switched to Harald Sturm's KTM team .

In 2004, Marcus Kehr switched to the 175 cc two-stroke class and became a sports soldier . He won the German individual championship as well as the team championship, at the European championship he took fourth place and in the Enduro World Championship in class E2 (up to 250 cc two-stroke / 450 cc four-stroke) the 18th place.

In 2005 he was able to defend his title in the German championship, now in the E3 class (over 250 cm³ two-stroke / 500 cm³ four-stroke ). He was also the German Enduro Championship winner (“winner of all classes”) and again team champion. In the European Championship he was runner-up in the senior class E3. In the world championship he reached eleventh place.

In 2006 he switched to Bert von Zitzewitz's KTM works team and from then on started with works support in the Enduro World Championship, where he achieved fifth place. In Germany he defended all of his championship titles. With the junior team he finished fourth at the Six Days in Taupo ( New Zealand ).

In 2007 he finished eighth in the Enduro World Championship class E3. In the German championship he switched back to class E2, where he again won the championship title and defended the enduro championship. With the trophy team, Marcus Kehr was seventh at the Six Days and sixth in the individual ranking.

2008 was Kehrs' most successful year so far. In the world championship he finished sixth in class E3. He finished in the top three in one run. In the German championship he was able to defend his title from the previous year. With the German team, he finished eighth at the Six Days in Greece and seventh in the individual ranking.

In 2009, Marcus Kehr moved back to class E3 in the German championship and was again German champion and winner of the Enduro championship (master of all classes). In the world championship he was fifth in class E3. He was able to repeat these successes in 2010.

He also won the Enduro Championship from 2011 to 2013 and was champion in his class. (E3: 2011 and 2013, E2: 2012). In the World Cup he finished 10th in 2011, 8th in 2012 and 9th in 2013.

In 2014 he drove for Sherco .
