Almo -Statistik is now free software for statistical analysis of data , especially of mass data. A special feature of this software is that it has a complete system for electoral extrapolation and voter flow analysis .
Almo was developed by statisticians, mathematicians and social researchers at the Johannes Kepler University Linz , Austria. Initially Almo was developed and used on mainframes, the software has also been used on the PC since 1988, has interfaces to SPSS and Excel and can output data graphically. One focus of Almo is on cluster analysis , which is included with all of its sub-models.
Procedure
Almo includes the following procedures:
- Frequency distributions and tabulations of any kind
- correlation
- non-parametric methods
- General linear model with all its sub-models
- the logit and probit models
- Cluster analysis
- canonical correlation
- Time series analysis
- Path analysis
- Factor analysis
- Correspondence analysis
- Conjoint analysis
- Methods of survival time analysis such as the Kaplan-Meier estimator and the Cox regression
- social science scaling models such as the Rasch method , the latent structural analysis according to Lazarsfeld
- Guttman and Mokken scaling
- non-metric scaling according to Kruskal
