Alois Cipin

Alois Cipin (born May 28, 1913 in Vienna ; † December 22, 1985 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and union secretary. Cipin was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1954 to 1974 .

Cipin completed an apprenticeship as a metal grinder, but switched to the textile sector in 1934 and completed his military service in World War II from 1940, where he was taken prisoner of war, from which he did not return until 1946. After the end of the war, Cipin was district party secretary and from 1947 trade union secretary for the textile, clothing and leather workers. He also acted as the regional chairman of the Christian trade unionists, was a member of the board of the workers' pension insurance company and the Lower Austrian regional health insurance fund, and between 1955 and 1970 was a councilor in Ebreichsdorf . He also worked between 1959 and 1974 as Vice President of the Chamber of Labor in Lower Austria and from 1971 to 1974 he was the ÖAAB regional representative. In addition, Cipin represented the Austrian People's Party between November 10, 1954 and July 11, 1974 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
