In order to draw attention to the topic and to stimulate public dialogue, he initiated discussion rounds, information events and activities that put the cultural encounter in the foreground. The commitment encompassed smaller campaigns such as a recipe exchange, children's action groups in schools through to participation in the Cologne Carnival with a multicultural foot group and appearances in various TV programs.

Cabaret artist - the integrator

As part of his engagement, the fictional character “The Integrator” was created in 2008, with whom Babaoglu-Marx appears as a political cabaret artist.

Initiator of the D-country project

Parallel to his work as a cabaret artist, Babaoglu-Marx launched the “D-Länder” project, with which he calls for a common name to be found and established for all people living in Germany, regardless of their ethnic origin (examples: “ D countries "," German countries "or" DE residents "). The aim of the project is to increase the feeling of belonging among foreigners and at the same time to contribute to the formation of a new, territorial identity for all people living in Germany.

author

In 2014, Babaoglu-Marx published a cabaret educational book that deals with the history of migration and integration of Turks in Germany and includes all the insights gained from his engagement and suggested solutions.
