Alparslan Kuytul

Alparslan Kuytul (born August 20, 1965 in Karataş near Adana ) is the scholar and spiritual leader of the Furkan movement . The German Office for the Protection of the Constitution judges it as an extremist organization that aims to establish an "Islamic civilization".

Through his efforts in the 1980s, Furkan Eğitim ve Hizmet Vakfı (Furkan Education and Aid Organization) was established in 1994 , which today has branches in more than 35 cities in Turkey and abroad.

Alparslan Kuytul was arrested in Turkey in late January / early February 2018. Since then, he has been in solitary confinement in the Turkish city of Bolu without charge.
