history

In 1916 the company for electrical systems (GA) was founded. The AGIV holds up to 1992 about 70% of GA and supplies them with the established 1,922 turbines AG (KA), where the AGIV held about 65%, in 1996 to the GAH Group together and sold its stake in 1998 to the DBAG as part of a management buyout ; This was followed by the takeover of the remaining free shareholders and a delisting , so that the shares were no longer traded on the stock exchange. In 2000, what was then Atel Holding (from which Alpiq has since emerged) takes over 100% of the shares in GAH. In 2009 the name was changed to Alpiq Anlagentechnik.

activities

The activities of the AAT group were divided into two business areas until April 2007:

  • Energy generation and plant engineering (EAT), in which the companies of the Kraftanlagen München Group, Kraftanlagen Heidelberg Group, Kraftanlagen Hamburg GmbH and Kraftszer Kft., Budapest / Hungary, offer their services in the areas of energy generation, environmental, utility and industrial plant engineering .
  • Energy supply technology (EVT), with the companies in the energy supply and network technology (traffic and telecommunications networks) - the GA high voltage line construction group, the regionally operating companies of the GA Energieanlagenbau Süd group, the GA Energieanlagenbau Nord GmbH, the Elektro Stiller GmbH, the Frankenluk Energieanlagenbau GmbH and GA Netztechnik GmbH.

On April 27, 2012, Alpiq announced the sale of the energy supply technology division to the French Vinci Group for a value of EUR 240 million. In 2011, energy supply technology generated sales of EUR 512 million and an EBITDA of EUR 37 million (before consolidation and transaction adjustments) with around 3,000 employees. At the same time, Alpiq decided to continue the AAT Group's second business area, energy generation and plant technology (EAT), as part of the Alpiq Group. The remainder of the company, which specializes in the planning, construction, maintenance and dismantling of industrial and power plants, generated sales of EUR 559 million and an EBITDA of EUR 40 million (before consolidation) with around 2000 employees.
