The German Beteiligungs AG (short: DBAG) is a listed investment company with headquarters in Frankfurt am Main . Your share is listed in the SDAX . As the most active and largest private equity investor in the field of small and medium-sized companies, DBAG invests in a wide variety of sectors , such as the automotive and consumer goods industries.

The German Beteiligungs AG has around 1.8 billion assets under management , which over the DBAG Fund VII (larger leveraged buy-outs and management buy-outs ), and the Expansion Capital Fund (minority holdings and small cap buyouts) assigned to be.

history

The company was founded in 1965 as Deutsche Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH , making it the oldest company in the private equity industry in Germany. The foundation of the Deutsche Beteiligungs AG was made in 1984 by the German Bank and the Schmidt Bank of Hof (Saale) and was supported by the Deutsche Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. On December 19, 1985, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG went public. In 1996 the group was restructured and the management switched to the AG, which for the first time had its own staff.

Holdings

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG sets up closed private equity funds and invests alongside DBAG funds in well-positioned medium-sized companies with development potential. DBAG places one focus on those industrial sectors in which German medium-sized companies are particularly strong in international comparison. With this experience, know-how and equity, she strengthens her portfolio companies in implementing a long-term, value-adding corporate strategy. Her entrepreneurial investment approach makes her a sought-after investment partner in German-speaking countries.

As of September 30, 2015, the group had 24 investments with an IFRS value of EUR 256 million. Consolidated earnings after taxes for the 2014/2015 financial year amounted to EUR 27.0 million (previous year: EUR 48.0 million).

Foundation, endowment

The non-profit foundation of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG was established in 2010. With this, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG laid the foundation for long-term social and cultural commitment.

The central concern of the foundation is the promotion of charitable and benevolent purposes. The purpose of the foundation is achieved in particular through the support of active and retired employees of current and former portfolio companies of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and their relatives in emergency situations. In addition, the foundation promotes art and culture in the greater Frankfurt am Main area.
