The Alster Text GmbH & Co. KG is the largest by its own account Germany's typing pool , and after Medea Services Group , based in Hungary and Romania, the second largest in Europe. According to the company, 155 typists are employed (as of October 2006). The main focus of business activity is the transcription of dictations and the correction of texts ( editing ). The company is also active in the areas of document management and the use of speech recognition technologies.

AlsterText was founded in 2001 . At the beginning of 2006 the conversion into a KG took place . The company is based in Hamburg-Hammerbrook.

Business model

AlsterText's business model is based on proprietary, proprietary software that enables encrypted transmission and processing of confidential dictations over the Internet.

The main clientele in the typing office division are hospitals, doctors and lawyers as well as universities. In the editing division, advertising agencies, but also students, are among the customers.
