Alsvidr and Arvakr

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alsvidr and Arvakr (also Alsvinn and Arvakr, Nordic "all speed" and "early awake") are two horses in Nordic mythology that pull the chariot of the sun goddess Sol across the sky. The two horses are only mentioned in the Gylfaginning and the Grímnismál .

Alsvidr was carved runes into the hoof and Arvakr into the ear by the gods . The Swalin shield protects you from the heat of the sun. The team is constantly followed by the Wolf Skalli and driven in a hurry.
