Land map from 1715, Dillingen, which had already fallen desolate at this point in time, is marked with the letter "Z" ("the former village of Dillingen"), next to it with "J" "the old Brendelsburg"

Alt-Dillingen is a desert in the Vordertaunus in the urban area of Friedrichsdorf . According to LAGIS , the settlement was located northwest of the center of Seulberg and south of today's Friedrichsdorf train station . In contrast, a land map from 1715 shows the Dillinger Feld and the Dillinger path in this area, while the place seen from Seulberg is drawn across the Rehlingsbach and would have been located north of today's Friedrichsdorf train station in the track area.

In 1192 a place Dillunge is documented when a Friedrich von Dillingen testified to a contract with which Gottfried von Eppstein bought castle rights . From 1229 it was mentioned as Tullingen, Dollingen and Dullingen . From 1531 Dillingen was used. In the 16th century Dillingen was described as a desert with the words "in devastation" .

In 1804, the new founding of Dillingen, northwest of Friedrichsdorf , was named after the submerged place. Still remember the place names Dillinger Mountain, Dillinger field Dillinger Lach, Dillinger lake, Dillinger path and Dillinger way to the deserted village.

The Outbound Castle Brendel castle was located right next to the place and fell around the same time.
