Alt Zeschdorf is a place in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg and has been part of the Zeschdorf municipality since December 31, 1997 .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1405 as Czechinsdorff . Among other things, Conrad von Burgsdorff was the owner of the estate. A manor house built around 1800 was destroyed in 1945.

The merger with Hohenjesar took place in 1927 at the instigation of the state government. Neu Zeschdorf followed with the incorporation in 1936.

Zeschdorf emerged on December 31, 1997 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Alt Zeschdorf, Döbberin and Petershagen .

In 1996, an aircraft wreck of a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 from the Second World War was recovered from See Castle in Alt Zeschdorf . This was further evidence of the heavy fighting in the Battle of Berlin . Even the dead pilot could be identified.

Culture and sights

In the list of monuments in Zeschdorf are the monuments of the place registered in the list of monuments of the state of Brandenburg. There is also a leisure and tourism center in Alt Zeschdorf.

Economy and Infrastructure

The Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG operates the 2,009 by Plambeck Neue energy locally built wind farm Old Zeschdorf . The three wind turbines have a nominal output of 6 MW. This covers the annual electricity needs of around 4,000 private households.

The Volks- und Raiffeisenbank Fürstenwalde Seelow Wriezen eG also has a branch in town.

education

The day care center The Little Rascals and a primary school, formerly POS “Dr. Theodor Neubauer ”are located in the village.
