Altach (Barbing)

Altach is a district of the municipality of Barbing in the district of Regensburg ( Bavaria ) with 65 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013). The Danube flows past in the northeast .

history

A document from the 8th century states that, with the consent of Duke Tassilo of Bavaria, the Sankt Emmeram monastery in Regensburg was given land on the island of "Opinesaldaha" (Altach), which is surrounded by arms of the Danube.

On January 1, 1978, the Illkofen community , to which Altach belonged, was incorporated into the Barbing community.
