The old German Mövchen is a domestic pigeon breed and belongs to the group of gull pigeons .

Pattern description

The Old German Mövchen is considered to be the original form of the German Schildmövchen . The breed was referred to in Germany as the seagull because of its herring gull color and drawing . In 1956 it was newly recognized. The medium-sized, stocky, graceful-looking pigeon has a distinctive seagull character due to the typical expression of the breed characteristics - such as the rounded head, the medium-long beak and the well-developed goiter ruff ( jabot ).
