The Old Synagogue in Danzig ( Polish : Stara Synagoga w Gdańsku ) was at Breitgasse 130-131 (today: Ulica Szeroka ). The synagogue was built in 1859 by a reform community in the Moorish style on the site of an older synagogue. The opening took place on September 27, 1859 with two Torah scrolls .

The synagogue existed until 1887 when the Great Synagogue was opened and the two Torah scrolls were brought into the Old Synagogue . At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, a residential building was built on the former site of the synagogue. A soap factory was established at the beginning of the 20th century and operated until 1945. Today there is Skwer Dariusz Kobzdej , which was named after a member of the Polish opposition in the People's Republic of Poland .

In 1927, the city's second synagogue was completed in the Langfuhr district, the New Synagogue .
