Tony Ingham

Tony Ingham (born February 18, 1925 in Harrogate , † April 21, 2010 ) was an English football player on the position of a defender . With 555 missions, he holds the record of his long-time club Queens Park Rangers , where he was under contract as a player between 1950 and 1963.

Life

Ingham emerged from the offspring of his home club Harrogate Town . In 1946 he became a professional player and moved to Leeds United . There he could not prevail and in 1950 moved to the Queens Park Rangers, where he was under contract until his retirement from professional football in 1963 and during this time completed 514 league games in which he scored three goals.

After his active career, he remained connected to his long-term club. First he worked as a manager and in 1981 he became a member of the board of directors.
