architecture
The house was built in 1913 in the style of homeland security architecture according to plans by the Bordesholmer architect and district building officer Johann Garleff. The towering angular building is carefully structured in detail. Special external characteristics are the many lattice windows, the portal with a writing plate (with outside staircase ) and the hand-forged fittings (dates and ornaments). Inside, in addition to the large staircase, the paneled hallway and the painted conference room are remarkable.
use
From 1913 the district building was used as an administration building for the Bordesholm district, which existed until 1932. The respective district administrator lived and worked in the office building on Lindenplatz. During this time they worked as district administrators: Adolf Freiherr von Heintze until 1920 , Arthur Zabel from 1920–1921 and Waldemar von Mohl from 1921 until the district was dissolved in 1932 . After that, the building was used as a district court until the end of 1975 , since then it has been privately owned and is used as a residential and commercial building.
