The old district building Bordesholm is a building in Bordesholm , Heintzestraße 6, in which the administrative seat of the district Bordesholm , which existed until 1932, was located. The architect was the district building officer Johann Garleff . The building has been a listed building since 1976 .

architecture

The house was built in 1913 in the style of homeland security architecture according to plans by the Bordesholmer architect and district building officer Johann Garleff. The towering angular building is carefully structured in detail. Special external characteristics are the many lattice windows, the portal with a writing plate (with outside staircase ) and the hand-forged fittings (dates and ornaments). Inside, in addition to the large staircase, the paneled hallway and the painted conference room are remarkable.

use

From 1913 the district building was used as an administration building for the Bordesholm district, which existed until 1932. The respective district administrator lived and worked in the office building on Lindenplatz. During this time they worked as district administrators: Adolf Freiherr von Heintze until 1920 , Arthur Zabel from 1920–1921 and Waldemar von Mohl from 1921 until the district was dissolved in 1932 . After that, the building was used as a district court until the end of 1975 , since then it has been privately owned and is used as a residential and commercial building.

Others

On July 10, 1977 the then member of the Bundestag and later Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein Heide Simonis and her husband Udo E. Simonis moved into an apartment in the building.
