Alulim

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alulim ( Greek Aloros ) was in the Sumerian king list the name of the first divine antediluvian king of Eridu (today Abu Shahrain in Iraq ). His reign was in accordance with WB 62 18  SAR and four NER (67,200  divine years ). In other listings, other government lengths are sometimes given. For Alulim, Berossos calls "Aloros" a reign of 36,000 divine years.

Whether it is a historical or legendary figure is disputed. In Sumerian myths, he is the first king of Sumer . If he is a historical figure, then his reign is certain to be before 2900 BC. To apply.

  2. The mythological numbers refer to cosmic years that were subject to a special conversion. The conversion system has not yet been deciphered, but it shows great similarity to the “Platonic number”, which refers to the Babylonian-cosmic sexagesimal system. According to the Platonic system, an earthly day corresponds to a “cosmic world year”; the duration of a human life of 100 years is equated with "36,000 cosmic days" (36,000 "cosmic world years"); see: Rudolf Rufener: Plato: Der Staat .
