Álvaro Tardáguila
Álvaro Walter Tardáguila Silva (born August 16, 1975 ) is a former Uruguayan cyclist .
Álvaro Tardáguila, son of 1972 cyclist and Olympian Walter Tardáguila , won the 2004 Murraysville Classic in the United States, and he was successful on part of the Tour de Korea . A year later he won two stages of the Clásica del Oeste-Doble Bragado and the overall ranking of the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay . He was also runner-up at the Univest Grand Prix and in the overall ranking of the Tour of Christiana . In 2006 Tardáguila was successful on a section of the Rutas de América .
In 2005, Tardaguila tested positive for EPO and anabolic steroids after racing in the US and was banned for two years.
At the 2012 Rutas de América , Tardáguila took first place in the sprint for the Amanecer team, ahead of Mateo Sasso .
