The street on Long channel is a city street in the city 's Old Town in Stralsund . The street on the Hafeninsel connects Langenstrasse and the street Am Querkanal at the Langenbrücke with Hafenstrasse , to which it partially runs parallel. The Holzstraße branches off from the Am Langenkanal street. The street is part of the outskirts of the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar .

The road follows the course of the Langenkanal . It was created in connection with the embankment of the harbor islands in the 1860s.

One of the buildings is under monument protection (see also the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund ), namely the Silo II , as well as the quay and the pavement.
