The house at Am Neumarkttor 1 is a listed residential and commercial building in the city of Merseburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The building is located in the eastern part of Merseburg city center, east of the Saale at the intersection of the streets Am Neumarkttor , Oberen Burgstraße and Ölgrube . To the north is the also listed building at Am Neumarkttor 2 .
Architecture and history
The three-storey house was built in 1892 in the historicism style. Under the house there are historical cellars from different construction periods that go back to the Middle Ages . The side wing of the house includes remains of the Merseburg city fortifications and a baroque building. The construction was carried out by master mason Günther junior . A renovation took place at the beginning of the 21st century.
In the local register of monuments , the residential and commercial building is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 20105 .
