The house Am Neumarkttor 2 is a listed residential and commercial building in the city of Merseburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The building is located in the eastern part of Merseburg city center, west of the Saale , on the east side of the street Am Neumarkttor . To the south is the also listed building at Am Neumarkttor 1 .

Architecture and history

The core of the large two-story building goes back to the 17th century. The building was built in half-timbered construction and is plastered. The window walls have a bevel . Major renovations were carried out in the middle of the 18th century. The cellar of the house is of even older origin and goes back in parts to the Middle Ages .

In the local register of monuments , the residential and commercial building is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 20106 .
