Half-timbered courtyard

The half-timbered courtyard complex Am Waldfriedhof 20 is in Korschenbroich in the Rhine district of Neuss in North Rhine-Westphalia . The building was built in the 17th century and was added to the list of architectural monuments in Korschenbroich on April 5, 1990 under No. 159 .

architecture

This is a heavily modified half-timbered courtyard with a brick-clad house from the 17th century. The rear gable side is half-timbered and with the original window layout; the other windows are enlarged and have all-glass panes. In the corner between the house and the half-timbered barn there is a single-storey brick porch .

Despite the sometimes strong changes, the courtyard complex meets the requirements of Section 2 (1) DSchG NRW for entry in the list of monuments . It is important for human history as a cultural and historical testimony to the working and living conditions in the 17th century and for cities and settlements in the sense of local history. There are scientific, in the present case, architectural-historical reasons for their preservation and use.
