Amabile Cauchi

Amabile Cauchi (born March 5, 1917 in Għajnsielem ; † October 10, 1995 ) was a Maltese politician .

As a teenager, Mabbli , as Amabile Cauchi was also called, worked as an usher in a church in his birthplace.

Cauchi married Stella Said in 1940 and had ten children with her, three of whom died very young.

Cauchi joined Jones Gozo's party in 1946 and was elected to parliament for the first time in 1948. He later became a member of Paul Boffa's party and the Nationalists. He remained a parliamentarian until 1981.

During the last years of his life, Cauchi and his wife devoted themselves to his collection of miniature sculptures made from cattle bones.
