Amanda Röntgen-Maier
Carolina Amanda Erika Röntgen-Maier , b. Maier (born February 20, 1853 in Landskrona , † June 15, 1894 in Amsterdam ) was a Swedish violinist and composer .
Life
Amanda Maier studied in Leipzig, where she also met her future husband, the German-Dutch composer Julius Röntgen (1855–1932), whom she married in 1880. They formed close friendships with many important composers of their time, such as Edvard Grieg and Johannes Brahms .
