Yao Lambert César Amani (born September 17, 1963 in Tiassalé , Ivory Coast ) is a former soccer player and current coach of the Ivory Coast.

Career

Amani began his career at the Renaissance Club de Tiassalé. In 1980 he started his professional career with Rio Sport d'Anyama , where he played until the winter of 1985. In the spring of 1986 he joined the then master Africa Sports . On December 26, 1988, to the displeasure of fans and the board of directors, he left Africa Sports and joined local rivals ASEC Abidjan . In 1990 he won the Ivorian championship, the Coupe de Côte d'Ivoire, the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Cup, the West African Club Championship (UFOA Cup) and the Wafu Cup (Union of West African Federation) at ASEC under Philippe Troussier . After a serious knee injury in 1991, he stopped playing at ASEC Mimosas and in 1992 moved back to Africa Sports National . After he found his old form at Africa Sports National and played a few games for the national team, he ended his active career in autumn 1994.

National team

From 1990 to 1994 he ran several times for the national soccer team of the Ivory Coast . Cesareo took part in the African Cup of Nations in 1988, 1990 and 1994 . He played 3 qualifying games in the 1994 World Cup qualification .

Coaching career

After his active career, he returned to ASEC Abidjan and took over the Académie MimoSifcom. Where he initially worked as a trainer and later in management. Since March 2007 he has been a coach at Académie football Amadou Diallo .
