Amanitaraqid

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Amanitaraqide was a Nubian king who probably ruled in the first century AD .

So far it is only known from the pyramid Beg N16 in Meroe . His name is recorded there in Meroitic script on the fragment of a sacrificial tablet, on which his apparently non-royal parents (father: Pisker; mother: Menhedoke) are named. The sacrificial tablet of Aryesebokhe was found in the same pyramid , making the assignment of the pyramid to a particular ruler somewhat uncertain.
