Ambulance service
The term ambulance service (Latin: ambulãre = to go around), depending on the region and / or country of origin, summarizes different issues.
In the broadest sense, this is understood to mean (emergency) medical care for the population outside of the clinics and medical practices. Which includes:
- Emergency rescue
- Ambulance
- (non-qualified) patient transport service
- medical corps
- ambulance
In particular, medically indicated transports are recorded in the true sense of the word ambulance service . This is due to the fact that in many neighboring European countries there is no further differentiation between ambulance transport and emergency rescue without an emergency doctor . In these countries, both are combined as an ambulance service (Ambulance, Ambulancia, etc.). This is also reflected in the transfer of the German DIN 75080 (definition of ambulances) to the European EN 1789 (see also rescue equipment ).
Road ambulances are mobile medical practices in ambulance vehicles financed by the welfare organization, which treat those in need free of charge.
