ambulance

The ambulance is a medical facility for the admission and treatment of patients, but it has no overnight beds in its composition. Unlike a clinic or polyclinic , the services are only offered in the main areas such as therapy , surgery , dentistry, sometimes pediatrics , obstetrics and gynecology in the outpatient department.
Eastern Europe
The outpatient departments are a link between the polyclinics and medical points ("Medpunkt") for competent first aid in rural areas. A paramedic , Feldscher or even a family doctor works in the outpatient department .
In Lithuania , the ambulances ( Ambulatorija ) are set up in the small towns ( miestelis ) and villages. The outpatient departments sometimes have one or a few subordinate medical points: there is (at least) one trained nurse there . In the larger Lithuanian outpatient clinics, some general practitioners work with their helpers ( nurses ), less often with dozens of medical specialists (e.g. , 35 employees were employed in the Lentvaris outpatient clinic in the Trakai district in January 2018).
Sweden
In Sweden, doctors work in treatment centers ( Vårdcentralen ). Most of these centers are state-run, but there are also private medical centers.
