Amel Grami

Amel Grami (born in Tunisia in 1962 ) is a Tunisian scientist and intellectual. She studied Arabic literature and history at the University of Tunis , where she received her doctorate in 1993.

Life

Grami is Professor of Equality and Intercultural Studies at the Tunisian University of Manouba . On January 3, 2016, she was prevented from entering Egypt after being invited to a conference by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina as a guest speaker. At the beginning of January 2016, she was confronted on a Tunisian television program with the allegation of offending the Prophet. The background is their attitude to the outlawing of homosexuality.
