America Radio Network

The America Radio Network was a radio network of the US union United Auto Workers . The network existed from 1996 to 2004; the programs were broadcast on radio stations across the US and broadcast via webcast .

Founded as the United Broadcasting Network , it became the America Radio Network in 2000. The network has been a grant company throughout its existence. The last broadcast aired for a month in February 2004 - a month before Air America Radio made its debut. The programs were hosted by Chuck Harder (in the first few months), Jim Hightower, Mike Malloy , Thom Hartmann and a worker-oriented program of the Workers Independent News Service . In addition, shows were broadcast on non-political topics such as pets and home improvement.

Many of America Radio Network's personalities later moved to Air America or the Sirius Left Channel on the Sirius Satellite Network .
