Batthyány cabinet
The Batthyány Cabinet ( March 23 - October 2, 1848 ) was the first government of the Kingdom of Hungary . It was used during the March Revolution and was legitimized by the March Laws. On March 23, 1848, Prime Minister Count Lajos Battyhány announced the government's list of names. The certificate of appointment was signed by King Ferdinand V on April 7th . The cabinet was dissolved on September 11th. From October 2, the National Defense Committee (Hungarian Országos Honvédelmi Bizottmány , abbreviated OHB ) took over its tasks.

The composition of the government was changed in September 1848: State Secretaries and the Head of the Public Works and Transport Division took over the management of the divisions from six ministers.
