There were several commercial vehicle manufacturers under the American brand name .

American Motor Truck Co

The American Motor Truck Co . in Lockport , New York produced from 1906 to 1911. After renaming in Findlay Motor Co . The company produced in Findlay, Ohio from 1911 to 1912. In 1912 there was another name change to Ewing-American Motor Co , which also produced in Findlay until the brand was discontinued.

American Motor Truck Co.

The American Motor Truck Co. in Detroit , Michigan produced limited numbers of one- and 3.5-ton trucks from 1913 to 1918.

American Truck & Tractor Co

In Portland in the US state of Connecticut , American Truck & Tractor Co produced 2.5 and 5 ton trucks with cardan drive with Wisconsin four-cylinder engines between 1920 and 1924.
