The American Campaign Medal is awarded by the US forces of World War II . It was donated on November 6, 1942 and is no longer awarded. The criteria for the award were 30 days of service in combat or 60 days without a fight outside the borders of the United States in the service of national defense. Alternatively, soldiers who had served a year in the United States could also receive the award. The period of service had to be between December 7, 1941 and March 2, 1946.

On the front of the medal are a submarine, a ship, a factory building and a bomber plane , with the inscription AMERICAN CAMPAIGN above . An eagle is depicted on the back, as well as the inscription 1941-1945 and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA .

Similar awards were the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal .
