American Society of Clinical Hypnosis

The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) is an American professional association for clinical hypnosis based in Bloomingdale, Illinois . The society was founded in 1957 by Milton H. Erickson with the aim of networking and further training of professionals, sensitizing the public to the benefits of hypnosis and eliminating prejudice against it. Its members include psychologists, psychiatrists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, doctors, nurses and dentists, among others. The company holds, among other things, regular meetings and awards certificates of further education. Its publication medium is the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis ( AJCH ), which has been published by Routledge since 2011 .
