Roquette Amilina is a Lithuanian company in Panevėžys . It operates a wet wheat mill and processes wheat into starch and vital gluten fractions. The remaining by-products are processed in a wet process, concentrated, mixed with wheat bran , dried and pelletized into animal feed pellets. In 2013 the company achieved sales of LTL 365.9 million. It has been a member of the Roquette Group since 2011 .
history
The company's history began in 1841 when B. Rubinstein built the city's first modern steam mill . The company suffered the wars, occupations and nationalization. In 1994, after privatization, the company became Akcinė bendrovė "Malsena". A 250 TPD mill (TPD = tons per day) built in 1993 enabled the company to achieve an unmatched production quality in Lithuania. AB "Malsena" became the flour industry leader in the Baltic States . In 2004 the company, a subsidiary UAB "Baltic Amber Pasta" began its activities with the continuous production of new pasta with the modern technology of the Swiss company Bühler AG . The new company immediately became a regional market leader in pasta production and has remained so until today (as of 2014).
