Amine Chermiti ( Arabic محمد أمين الشرميطي, DMG Muḥammad Amīn aš-Šarmīṭī ; * December 26, 1987 in Sfax ) is a Tunisian football player .
Career
Chermiti started his career at Jeunesse Sportive Kairouanaise . For the 2006/07 season he moved to Étoile Sportive du Sahel . In 2007 he was Tunisian champion and winner of the CAF Champions League with Étoile Sportive du Sahel . He was also the top scorer in the CAF Champions League with eight goals scored. He was also named 2007 Player of the Year.
With the Tunisian national football team Chermiti participated in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in part. Amine Chermiti and Yassine Chikhaoui are the top performers in the current Tunisian national team.
Hertha BSC signed the young Tunisian for the 2008/09 season. The transfer fee was 2.2 million euros.
Amine Chermiti was loaned to the Saudi Arabian top club Al-Ittihad for the 2009/10 season.
At the beginning of July 2010, he signed a four-year contract with FC Zurich , which was extended early to summer 2016.
In January 2016 Chermiti moved to Gazélec FC Ajaccio in Ligue 1 .
