Amit Kumar (born July 3, 1952 ) is an Indian playback singer, actor and composer. He is the son of the well-known playback singer Kishore Kumar.

Early life

Amit Kumar was born in Calcutta in 1952 as the son of the legendary Bollywood playback singer Kishore Kumar. His mother is the well-known Bengali singer Ruma Guha Thakurta . He is known for his own style.

Career

Kumar made his debut as a singer in a film by his father, Kishore Kumar . He has sung in many Bollywood films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham , Tridev and Raju Chacha . In addition to Hindi , Kumar also sings in Bangla , Bhojpuri , Oriya , Assamese , Marathi and Konkani . From 1974 to 1994 he worked with the well-known music director Rahul Dev Burman . His most famous songs include u. a. Bole Chudiyan Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Roj Roj Aankhon Tale Jeeva , and Deewana Dil Deewana Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa .
