Amnon David Ar

Amnon David Ar ( Hebrew אמנון דוד ער; * December 12, 1973 in Herzliya , Israel ) is an Israeli painter.

Life

He studied at the Arts and Crafts Municipal High School in Tel Aviv until he was 18 . After his military service he switched to studying anatomy and art with Oswald Adler. He attended the Bezalel State Art Academy in Jerusalem and then switched to studying painting with Abraham Bykov. After his training he worked as an illustrator and cartoonist for magazines, book publishers and advertising agencies as well as for the newspapers Maariv Yedioth and Davar. In 2008 he designed the Abba Eban stamp edition for the Israeli Post.
