Santa Fe High School rampage

A 17-year-old student from Santa Fe High School shot dead eight students, including an exchange student from Pakistan , and two teachers in the rampage at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe , Texas , on May 18, 2018 . The killed students were between 15 and 17 years old. Ten other people were injured.

The 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis confessed to the fact. After his arrest, he stated that he wanted to shoot himself too. He spared students he liked. Prior to his arrest, there was an exchange of fire between him and two police officers. One of the two police officers (49) was hit in the arm by a bullet and taken to a university hospital.

The perpetrator committed the rampage with a .38 caliber revolver and a Remington 870 rifle; both apparently belonged to his father.

The mother of a shot schoolgirl named Shana Fisher said that her daughter had repeatedly fended off advances by the perpetrator in the run-up to the crime. Pagourtzis' advances have become increasingly aggressive; About a week before the rampage, Shana rejected him in the classroom.

The Santa Fe High School rampage was the third armed attack on a US school in a week and the 22nd armed attack in 2018.
