Amphiatlantic

As amphiatlantisch (from the Greek ἀμφί amphi , double value either, di- ') are animal and plant taxa referred to, both sides of the Atlantic Ocean colonize. These are therefore taxa that are native to both the west of the Palearctic or Paleotropic and the east of the Nearctic or Neotropical .

Examples of amphiatlantic plant species are the alpine helmet ( Bartsia alpina ), the herb willow ( Salix herbacea ) or the three-leaf bulrush ( Juncus trifidus ).
