The amphibian biotope Brockzetel / Wiesens is a protected, extensive natural monument in the area of the city of Aurich in the Lower Saxon district of Aurich in East Frisia . It bears the number ND AUR 00117.
Description of the area
The extensive natural monument, designated on June 13, 1986, is located west of Königsmoorweg and north of Brockzeteler Straße in the area of the Aurich districts of Wiesens and Brockzetel . It borders directly on the nature reserve Egeleser Wald and the surrounding area . The waters are of artificial origin and were created through soil degradation. According to the district of Aurich, the area is "important as a spawning biotope for amphibians as well as other animal and plant species adapted to this type of biotope ."
