The house at Amsdorfstraße 1 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the south side of Amsdorfstraße in Magdeburg's Sudenburg district . The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Amsdorfstrasse 2 to the east .

Architecture and history

The three- to four-story house was built around 1900. The plastered facade is simply designed and has neo-Gothic elements. In the ensemble with the neighboring house at Amsdorfstrasse 2, the opposite block at Amsdorfstrasse 2, Helmstedter Strasse 39-41 and the community and all-day secondary school Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, it is a defining feature of the street scene.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed under registration number 094 81922 as a monument .
