Jack Zi Yang Arthur Salter (born March 10, 1987 in London ) is a professional British poker player from England .

Personal

Salter is the son of an English father and a Chinese mother. He has two sisters and a younger brother, Louis , who also makes his living playing poker. Salter lives in London.

Poker career

Salter plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname jackziyang . He has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2010.

In November 2011 Salter won a tournament at the Palm Beach Big Game in London with a prize of just under 50,000 US dollars . In the summer of 2013 he was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and came in three events of the variant No-Limit Hold 'em the money. At the beginning of October 2013, Salter reached the final table at the main event of the UK & Ireland Poker Tour and finished the tournament in third place for the equivalent of almost $ 100,000 in prize money. In February 2014 he won a Six Max tournament of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne and received over 100,000 Australian dollars for it . At the beginning of May 2014, Salter came second at the high roller event of the European Poker Tour in Monte-Carlo and collected 765,000 euros for it . When the main event of the WSOP Asia Pacific , he finished in October 2014 also took second place and received more than 500,000 Australian dollars. At the 2016 WSOP , Salter reached the final table of the most expensive tournament on the tournament schedule, the High Roller for One Drop with a buy-in of $ 111,111, and finished the event in fourth place. In early February 2019, he finished fifth in the A $ 100,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions and received nearly 330,000 Australian dollars .

In total, Salter has earned more than eight million dollars playing poker in live tournaments.
