The Hendon Mob is a group of four professional poker players , all of whom are native to London . The name is made up of the London borough of Hendon and the term mob . The Hendon Mob operates a very successful website which contains a unique poker database in which every professional live poker tournament and all poker players are listed with their results.

Members

history

The group's name was first published in September 2000 by Victoria Coren in the Evening Standard newspaper .

Joe Beevers is the only member originally from Hendon , London . However, the other members played in Hendon, so the name came about. The Hendon Mob describes John Kabbaj as its unofficial fifth member. The mob was sponsored by the online poker site Full Tilt Poker .

In 2000, the Hendon Mob Poker Database took over the information from Pokerpages.com , making it obsolete.
