The Korschenbroich office was an administrative unit that until 1974 belonged to the Grevenbroich district in the Rhine Province (1927 to 1945) and in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (1946 to 1974). The office emerged in 1927 from the mayor's office in Korschenbroich , which had existed in the Gladbach district since 1816 .

history

In 1794 the area of ​​the later office of Korschenbroich was occupied by French troops. Later it belonged to the French Empire and from 1815 to the Kingdom of Prussia. The mayor's office of Korschenbroich, established in the French era , with the communities of Korschenbroich and Pesch, has belonged to the Gladbach district since 1816 . The mayor's office had been called Amt since 1927 . In 1929 the district of Gladbach was dissolved and the Korschenbroich office with the communities of Korschenbroich and Pesch came to the district of Grevenbroich-Neuss .
