Matthias Hoeren (born January 7, 1916 in Korschenbroich ; † March 4, 1997 ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Hoeren worked as a farmer in Raderbroich . From 1950 he headed the CDU local association Korschenbroich-Pesch. He was married and had two children.

He belonged to the district council of the Grevenbroich district from December 2, 1952 until the regional reform on December 31, 1974, that of the Neuss district from January 1, 1975 to October 18, 1989. From 1948 to 1975, Hoeren was a member of the Korschenbroich office . He was a member of the Korschenbroich community council from 1948.

Public offices

From April 12, 1961 until October 18, 1989, he was district administrator for the Grevenbroich and Neuss districts. From 1951 to 1975 he was mayor of the municipality of Korschenbroich. Hoeren was active in various committees of the district council of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Others

On June 13, 1973 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class. Hoeren received the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia on October 26, 1990.

In Korschenbroich, Matthias-Hoeren-Platz, on which a memorial was erected by him, was named after him. This memorial was created by Dieter Patt, who was district administrator in the Rhine district of Neuss from 1996 to 2009.
